Lil5ive is a rising Nigerian singer/songwriter who’s been making music since he was 9. He released his first official single came with ‘Satiramoni’ in March 2019, which was also followed with a remix featuring Barry Jhay. He followed up with his next single ‘One Life’. ‘Omo Ologo’, which is only his third official single released has been doing really well becoming the artists first single to do 800,000 + plays across multiple streaming platform.
On his breakout single Omo Ologo, Lil5ive touches on growing on in Nigeria, the issues most young Nigerians have to go through different negative situations and he does this perfectly as he rides on the drum-heavy Afropop influenced beat. The song became an instant hit for the rising star who’s currently working on his debut EP to be released later this year.
He shares the music video for Omo Ologo, by acclaimed video director Ademola Falomo. The music video takes several references from the songs, touching on issues like Sars, police brutality, youth violence, and other experiences young Lagos can relate to.
