Former
Band leader of The pulse of Starquest, Dubie is here again! This time
with a double dose of excitement; AWON AYE and LAGOS LOVE. And as usual
these songs leave a lasting impression on the listeners mind. “AWON
AYE” meaning "people of this world” is a song that comically emphasizes
the need to be one’s self and the futility of trying to please
everybody thereby loosing yourself in the process. This is a song that
will leave you smiling at the well crafted skillful lyrical composition
and delivery while nodding your head to the nice percussive beat and
melody.
The Visuals totally complemented the sound and style of music. Shot in the getthos of the mainland, with exceptional street dancers, fire breathers, beautiful models and precise abstract shots, it really captures the essence of the message of the song while painting Dubie in a new light, with versatility as the watch word.
"LAGOS
LOVE” on the other hand is what i call “Feel Good Music”. In a very
stylish way, the song leads you to believe its talking about a beautiful
woman, but as it unfolds it triggers the “hustler spirit" in you and
goes on to give a sense of pride and belonging to indigenes, inhabitants
and hopefuls of the beautiful LAGOS STATE. In the “Language of the
street”, It highlights every aspect of the state, from security,
commerce, tourism, entertainment, transportation etc. It also mentioned
key cities in the state thereby connecting to wide variety of people at
the same time.
So here’s Dubie’s double dose of excitement; “AWON AYE & LAGOS LOVE" for you listening pleasure...
